Established in December 1996, Zhejiang Zhongda Group Holding Company Ltd. is a large group of amalgamated companies, cultivated by the Zhejiang provincial government. There are nearly fifty enterprises under our supervision, which are engaged in international trade, real estate management and sales, investment and domestic trade.
The main pillar of our business is foreign trade, which involves twenty subsidiaries and fifteen overseas agencies in Europe, Asia, Africa and North and South America. These subsidiaries and agencies are engaged in the import and export of a variety of commodities, including garments, textiles, electromechanical products, foodstuffs, tea and raw materials. Our clients are spread throughout more than one hundred and thirty countries and regions around the world.
To oversee our operations there are over eight hundred experienced marketing and management personnel, who have assisted the company in establishing a corporate culture, of an advanced nature, and a highly practical operational system. We have established ourselves as a body with high standing and repute, which we enjoy both at home and abroad.
Our figures demonstrate that financially we are in a healthy position and set for growth. In 2003, our export volume was valued at USD 670,610,000 and import volume stood at USD 330,770,000. This considerable total trade volume has enabled us to take a position among the two hundred largest domestic export enterprises. Moreover, we rank as one of the five hundred largest import and export enterprises in China.
